Simon Wright

Simon was born in West Yorkshire in 1974 and has been drawing and painting from a very early age.

He qualified as an illustrator but soon after began to realise that he enjoyed fine art painting as it didn’t have the restraints of illustrative work. Through this Simon gained success painting animals, particularly dogs, along with portraiture work but is now enjoying his new cityscape phase.

In his work Simon tries to bring the elements of illustration and fine art together to create a style which is totally unique and appeals to a varied audience. He enjoys working in many styles from photo realistic through to abstract. He works predominantly in oils and acrylic paint.
